ประกาศจัดตั้งในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ ตุลาคม ๒๕๐๑ ในนาม โรงเรียนเตรียมวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ เปิดการเรียนการสอนในวิชาเคมี กายวิภาคศาสตร์ ชีววิทยา-พฤกษศาสตร์ ฟิสิกส์-คณิตศาสตร์ และ ภาษาต่างประเทศ
The foundation of the Medical Science Preparatory School, University of Medical Science was announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 21 October 1958, with courses in Chemistry, Anatomy, Biology-Plant Science, Physics, Mathematics, and Foreign Languages.

ได้รับการยกสถานะเป็น คณะวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์
Promoted to the Faculty of Medical Science, University of Medical Science.

ศ. ดร.สตางค์ มงคลสุข ประสานขอความช่วยเหลือด้านงบประมาณและบุคลากรจาก มูลนิธิร็อคกี้เฟลเลอร์
Professor Dr.Stang Mongkolsuk, the Dean of Faculty of Medical Science arranged and requested aid in finance and personnel from the Rockefeller Foundation.

จัดตั้งภาควิชาจุลชีววิทยา และ ชีวเคมี
The Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry was founded.

ย้ายสถานที่มาบริเวณถนนพระรามที่ 6 พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร เสด็จพระราชดำเนินทรงวางศิลาฤกษ์ เมื่อวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม 2508
The Faculty of Medical Science was moved to RamaVI Road Campus, with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej graciously presided and leaded the foundation stone laying ceremony on 19 August 1965.

The Department of Physiology was founded.

อาจารย์ต่างประเทศจาก มูลนิธิร็อคกี้เฟลเลอร์ เดินทางมาช่วยดำเนินการบริหารและการเรียนการสอนระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาด้าน Life Science โดยทำหน้าที่เป็นหัวหน้าภาควิชาและอาจารย์ผู้สอน
Experts from the Rockefeller Foundation arrived to aid in administration and teaching and learning of Life Science at graduate level, being both the head of departments as well as lecturers.

พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร เสด็จพระราชดำเนินทรงประกอบพิธีเปิดอาคารทดลองวิทยาศาสตร์ เมื่อวันที่ ๒๖ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๑๑
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej graciously presided the opening ceremony of the Building on 26 February 1968.

จัดตั้งภาควิชาฟิสิกส์และคณิตศาสตร์ และ เภสัชวิทยา
The Department of Physics and Pharmacology was founded.

ได้รับพระราชทานนาม มหิดล เป็นชื่อมหาวิทยาลัย เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
The Faculty of Medical Science was renamed to “The Faculty of Science”

จัดตั้งภาควิชาพยาธิชีววิทยา
The Department of Pathobiology was founded.

ภาควิชาจุลชีววิทยา เป็นหน่วยงานแรกของประเทศที่ได้ผลิตบัณฑิตระดับปริญญาเอก สาขาจุลชีววิทยา
Department of Microbiology is the first in Thailand to produce doctoral graduates in Microbiology.

๒๕๑๙/1976

ห้องสมุดคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น ห้องสมุดสตางค์ มงคลสุข เพื่อเป็นอนุสรณ์แด่ผู้ก่อตั้งและคณบดีคนแรก
The faculty of Science Library was renamed to “Stang Mongkolsuk Library” in remembrance of its founder and the first dean of Faculty of Science.

เริ่มต้น โครงการศึกษานิเวศวิทยานกเงือก ต่อมาได้จัดตั้งเป็น มูลนิธิศึกษาวิจัยนกเงือก เมื่อปี ๒๕๓๖
The Thailand Hornbill Project was started, and later became “The Hornbill Research Foundation” in 1993.

สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอเจ้าฟ้าจุฬาภรณวลัยลักษณ์ อัครราชกุมารี ทรงเข้าศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอก สาขาอินทรีย์เคมี
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak started her doctoral degree in Organic Chimistry.

ขยายขอบเขตการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีไปยังวิทยาเขตศาลายา
Undergraduate programs were expanded to Salaya Campus.

สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอเจ้าฟ้าจุฬาภรณวลัยลักษณ์ อัครราชกุมารี เข้ารับพระราชทานปริญญาวิทยาศาสตรดุษฎีบัณฑิต จาก พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร เมื่อวันที่ ๑๑ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๒๘
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry and received the degree from His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 11 July 1985.

จัดตั้งภาควิชาเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพ คณิตศาสตร์ และคอมพิวเตอร์ (ต่อมาได้ยกสถานะเป็น คณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร เมื่อปี ๒๕๕๒)
The Department of Biotechnology, Mathematics, and Computer (later became the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology) were founded.

จัดตั้งภาควิชาพฤกษศาสตร์
The Department of Plant Science was founded.

๒๕๓๖/1993

จัดงาน ปาฐกถาศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สตางค์ มงคลสุข เป็นครั้งแรก เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๓๖ และจัดต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
The first “Prof. Dr.Stang Mongkolsuk Lecture” was held on 15 July 1994, and was held annually until today.

ได้รับรางวัลวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มูลนิธิโทเรเพื่อการส่งเสริมวิทยาศาสตร์ ประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันแห่งแรกที่ได้รับรางวัลนี้
The Faculty of Science was awarded with the Science and Technology Awards by the Thailand Toray Science Foundation (TTSF), and was the first institute in Thailand to received this award.

Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara, the Supreme Buddhist Patriarch of Thailand, graciously presides and leaded the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Chalermprakiat Building (K).

The Faculty of Science presented the “Outstanding Alumni Award” to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak in the 40th Anniversary occasion of the faculty.

จัดตั้ง ศูนย์ตรวจสอบสารต้องห้ามในนักกีฬา
The National Doping Control Centre was founded.

จัดตั้งหน่วยวิจัยเพื่อความเป็นเลิศ (Center of Excellence) เพื่อส่งเสริมให้นักวิจัยจากสาขาวิชาต่าง ๆ ได้มีโอกาสทำวิจัยร่วมกัน
The Centers of Excellence was founded to promote researchers from various disciplines to cooperate their research.

จัดตั้ง สถาบันนวัตกรรมและพัฒนากระบวนการเรียนรู้ ต่อมาได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น สถาบันนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ และย้ายสถานที่ไปยัง มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ศาลายา
The Institute for Innovation and Learning Development was founded. (Later renamed to “Institute for Innovative Learning” and moved to Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.)

จัดตั้ง สมาคมศิษย์เก่าคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
The Mahidol University Science Alumni Association (MSCA) was founded.

เปิดหลักสูตรพิสิฐวิธาน (Distinction Program) สำหรับนักศึกษาที่สนใจศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาเอก โดยไม่ต้องผ่านการเรียนระดับปริญญาโท
Distinction Programs were opened for talented undergrad students who wanted to continuously pursue B.Sc.-Ph.D. degrees.

ภาควิชาภาษาต่างประเทศ ย้ายไปรวมกับ คณะศิลปศาสตร์
The Department of Foreign Language was relocated to and merged whit the Faculty of Liberal Arts.

เปิดหลักสูตร Forensic Science International Program เป็นแห่งแรกในประเทศไทย
The first Forensic Science (International Program) in Thailand was opened.

เปิดหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิตสาขาคณิตศาสตร์ประกันภัย หลักสูตรนานาชาติ เป็นแห่งแรกในประเทศไทย
The first Bachelor of Science (International Program) in Actuarial Science was opened.

ตึกกลม ได้รับลือกเป็น อาคารอนุรักษ์ศิลปสถาปัตยกรรมดีเด่น ประจำปี 2553 จาก สมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
The Lecture Building (L) was selected as one of the Distinguished Culturally Conservative Buildings of year 2007 by the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage.

Hosted the 8th Thai National Biology Olympiad during 26 April – 1 May 2008.

หน่วยสัตว์ทดลอง ได้รับการรับรองมาตรฐานคณะกรรมการกำกับดูแลการเลี้ยงและใช้สัตว์ทดลองของสถาบัน จากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานแรกของประเทศที่ได้รับการรับรองมาตรฐานฯ
The Central Animal Facility (CAF) received the certification by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee from the National Research Council of Thailand, being the first unit in Thailand to receive the certification.

ร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชน บริษัท ไทยยูเนี่ยน กรุ๊ป จำกัด (มหาชน) และมหาวิทยาลัยเครือข่ายผลิตบัณฑิตเพื่อภาคอุตสาหกรรม และเปิดส่วนต่อขยายศูนย์นวัตกรรมและโรงงานต้นแบบ
Started collaboration whit Thai Union Group (PCL.) and the University Network in research and curriculums to produce graduates suited for private sectors and opened the expansion of the innovation center and pilot plant.
