The overview is a recent summary of my career, written as part of a Supplement celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Science Society of Thailand under Royal Patronage in 2018. Then, although the purpose of this book is not to focus on research. it feel remiss not to have some research articles, because Research has been a part of my life for 50 years. However, only 4 articles have been selected. The first (B1) is my very first research article, published in the very prestigious research journal Nature. This work performed as part of my Ph.D. Thesis on “Sequence Studies on Mouse Immunoglobulins”, under the supervision of Cesar Milstein, at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Cesar later shared a Nobel Prize with George Kohler for developing monoclonal antibodies, which are now so important as drugs, targeting specific proteins, such those in cancer. It is interesting to note that although research in Cesar’s laboratory was basic, the antibody-based drugs have assumed much Importance in medicine, accounting for $ 74 billion in sales in 2013. I grateful to Cesar Milstein for his guidance and wisdom.
