Library Rules :

Library Service Access Guidelines

  • Please show your identification card, student card, visitor card, or We Mahidol Application to access the library.
  • Using another person's identification card to access services is prohibited.

  • You may store your personal belongings in lockers (such as backpacks, cloth bags, large bags) by presenting your identification card to obtain a key with a numbered tag. Please return the key after use to retrieve your belongings. In case of lost key and number tag, a replacement fee of 100 baht per set will be charged to change the locker lock.
    * The library assumes no responsibility for any lost items.

  • Do not leave bags and belongings in lockers for more than 1 day, otherwise a fine of 100 baht per day per set will be imposed.

  • "Non-Mahidol University Students & Staff " please contact staff at the entrance to obtain a Visitor card by registering with your national ID card
  • Please cooperate with staff if they need to inspect your bags or document folders before leaving the library.

Reminder: Do not leave your personal belongings unattended in the library. Thefts of laptops, purses, and other valuables do occur.

Regulations for Library Use

  • The use of another individual's library card for borrowing materials or accessing the library is strictly prohibited.
  • As this is an educational institution, please maintain appropriate and respectful attire while using the library.
  • Please refrain from loud conversations within the library to avoid disturbing other users. For group study or seminars, please utilize the STANG Co-Learning space located on the 3rd floor.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited within the library premises.
  • Food, snacks, and other consumables are not permitted within the library. These items may be stored in the provided lockers. Only water in sealed containers is allowed.
  • Please refrain from using all forms of communication devices, including mobile phones, within the library..
  • All materials and publications must be handled with care and respect. Please avoid tearing, damaging, marking, or folding pages. Kindly assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of the library's equipment and surroundings.
  • Users who fail to comply with these regulations may be denied library access.

Stang Co-Learning Space Usage Guidelines

  1. For meetings, seminars, or activities promoting teaching, learning, and research only.
  2. Number of users:
    • Seminar Room A and Room P302: Minimum of 5 users.
    • Small Meeting Rooms B and C: Minimum of 3 users.
  3. Room usage rights and duration:
    • Usage rights: Maximum of 4 periods/person/day.
    • Maximum of 2 periods per booking.
    • Duration: As per scheduled slots. please adhere to the room usage time.
  4. Reservations can be made up to 1 time, within a maximum of 7 days in advance.
  5. If you do not use the room within 20 minutes after your reserved time, the library reserves the right to cancel your reservation.
  6. No food or beverages are allowed, except drinking water bottles or cups with lids. Please maintain the cleanliness of the room.
  7. Users will be held responsible for any damage to keycards or equipment within the room caused by modification, substitution, removal, misuse, or negligence, according to the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University announcement regarding the Stang Mongkolsuk Library fines and service rates B.E. 2567.
  8. Upon completion of use and if the room is unoccupied, please retrieve belongings from the service counter.
  9. The library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  10. Please refrain from making noise or engaging in any activities that may disturb others.
  11. Please maintain and adhere to discipline and ethics as per Mahidol University Regulation on Student Code of Conduct, B.E. 2561 (2018) , Mahidol University Regulation on Student Code of Conduct (2nd Issue), B.E. 2563 (2020) ,or Mahidol University regulations on discipline, proceedings, and disciplinary actions B.E. 2555. (2012)
  12. The library reserves the right to cancel room reservations in necessary cases and will provide prior notice.
  13. The library reserves the right to refuse service to users who do not comply with the above regulations.

 

Who can Borrow Library Materials ?

  • Staff members of Faculty of Science can use their identity cards for borrowing materials from this library (and all Mahidol libraries).
    Mahidol University students can use their student ID cards for borrowing materials from this library (and all Mahidol libraries)

Join or Renew Membership :

Library Card Application Service : during 8.30 am-4.30 pm, Monday-Friday.

Applying for Library Membership

  • Show your ID card at counter services.
  • Enrollment verification from website. (e-Student - Mahidol University, e - Registration - Mahidol University)
  • Fill in your personal information and take a picture via Stang Mongkolsuk Library application e-form.

Renew Membership (For current member or sophomore from Salaya campus)

  • Show your ID card at counter services.
  • Enrollment verification from website. (e-Student - Mahidol University, e - Registration - Mahidol University)
  • Edit your personal information via Stang Mongkolsuk Library application e-form.

Note :

  • Student renew membership every semester. (January & August)
  • Lecturer and Staff of faculty of science renew membership every year on June.

  • Users can renew up to 3 times.
  • To renew a book by phone, please provide the barcode number on your ID card and the title of the book you what to renew.
  • Renewals are not permitted when there are overdue fines. Please return the book and settle the fines before requesting a renewal.
